graphic design

Graphic design is defined as the art or skill of combining text and pictures in advertisements, magazines, or books. I see graphic design in logos and advertisements. I'm not really sure how designs influence me other than catching my attention. It seems like the simple stuff catches my attention quicker than the fancy designs.
